I had to convince myself that the $10 monthly upwork fee for pro was worth it because it can only let me make more money.

Let me know if you are serious about buying it, I tend to wait forever to find free options first and I absolutely hate subscription fees. I even went as far as getting Dragon Dictation to see if it was worth dictating the audios.

I'm making $200 a month and this month I was able to kick some ass and get $700 a month and so I'm trying to invest in this stuff. I'm doing a lot of research because I'm trying to get my transcription business off the ground. (one thing I liked is that InqScribe lets you change the audio channels, so if you have audio coming out of only one headphone it should balance it.) There is a transcription software called InqScribe which includes speaker input and timestamps but you have to hit a hotkey to inset them each time, it's not free but I was able to find it on The Bay. Also the hotkeys are stuck to F1-9 options which is sort of awful for me because my keyboard has a function button in order to activate F1-9 keys like a laptop but that's my fault. I'm using it, and it's probably the "best" transcription software for auto speaker input and timestamps (for free), but the timestamps don't appear to be editable. This one is free and says, "easytranscript: Software based on f4 for transcribing speech plays media files via VLC media player and regulates speed" Keep in mind right now I'm looking for auto speakers and timestamps because ExpressScribe works fine as a hotkey audio start and stop playback software.

I didn't end up buying it (yet?), I'm still researching lots of different transcribing software.
